Tutor Talk Video

Have you ever wondered why the happy nine-month-old baby who always used to greet you with smiles and laughs has suddenly started crying as soon as you approach?

Have you ever found out why you are afraid of spiders, and what you can do to cure yourself?

Have you ever despaired of the fact that there is so much prejudice and discrimination in the world and wondered what can be done about it?

Have you ever watched in horror as a six-year-old watches the latest blood-thirsty "cops and robbers" programme on the television and then immediately starts thumping and shooting everybody, and wondered just what effects such violent television programmes might have on a child?

Have you ever watched a week-old baby apparently studying intently the people and objects around them and wondered what on earth they make of their new world and just what thoughts, if any, might be going through their mind?

If you have answered "yes" to one or more of these questions, then you'll find this course a source of constant fascination as we examine a wide range of psychological topics and answer all of these questions.

Job Interview Skills

Getting the job you want is not about following rules or giving the 'right' interview answer. It is about presenting yourself in the most authentic way that takes care of you and the interviewers at the same time. So many people throw their chances away: they do not take enough care and interview preparation time so that the whole process is enjoyable, stimulating and informative for both parties. This section aims to show you how.

The Effective Learner Course

This section will consider the importance of study skills and how we can identify and enhance our current skill set. We will then take a closer look at different learning styles and how knowledge of our own preferences in this area can make our learning more effective. Finally we will look at some basic time management techniques to enable you to plan and organise your studies and stay motivated.

Student Reviews for Psychology - Advanced Course

I am currently completing two courses with Stonebridge - Level 4 Advanced Psychology Diploma and Level 4 Holistic Healing Professional Practitioner Diploma - and love the flexibility of the study especially since I had a baby just after I started the course so can fit my studies around him and my other work commitments. I have taken advantage of paying the fees in instalments which without that facility, I simply would not have been able to even start these courses. When I have needed the tutors assistance, if my personal tutor has been unavailable I've had good help from another member of the team which I have found extremely useful so I can continue with that assignment immediately. Finally, I love the very quick turn-around of assignments so am able to plan what I do more effectively.

I wouldn't have started the courses if I didn't think that the course content was appropriate and the qualification at the end worth having - I think the fact that I have emailed today about another course shows I'm very happy here!

I have done different courses throughout my experiences but I've never experienced the flexibility financially and academically as here.

Keep the diverse range of courses going - I think I'm on my way to starting a collection!!!

By: Natalie Kershaw

My name is Katherine Folly, I have recently finished the Psychology Advanced level 4 course and have previously completed the Cognitive Behavioural Therapy course. The rating I would like to give both course is a 5/5. I found that both courses were challenging and exciting. I have learned a tremendous amount knowledge through both of them. I began the courses with little or no knowledge of the study of psychology and the therapies and approaches used in the study of psychology and now I feel confident enough to engage in conversations with others about the subjects and that is all thanks to the courses and Stonebridge for making my experiences a pleasure.
