Job Interview Skills

Getting the job you want is not about following rules or giving the 'right' interview answer. It is about presenting yourself in the most authentic way that takes care of you and the interviewers at the same time. So many people throw their chances away: they do not take enough care and interview preparation time so that the whole process is enjoyable, stimulating and informative for both parties. This section aims to show you how.

This section will consider the importance of study skills and how we can identify and enhance our current skill set. Student Reviews for Teaching Assistant Course

I have just completed the Teaching Assistant course with Stonebridge and have had a really good positive experience. Whenever I have rung they have been so helpful and went out of their way to help me, if I have emailed I have had an answer virtually straight away.

I have also completed the level 2 basic Maths course with Stonebridge and all I can say is Thank You so much for helping me open doors that have been shut before.

I would recomend anyone to try the College, value for money, ease of use, comprehensive course materials, ticks all the boxes.

I have recently completed a Teaching Assistant course with Stonebridge Associated Colleges and having read the reviews placed on this site I thought it only best that I respond. My experience with the College was great. I received fantastic tutor support throughout the duration of my course, and furthermore the admin staff went completely out of their way to assist me with any queries that I had.

I really did not have an experience like any of these people below, however I am sure that these are isolated cases. I am aware that the College welcome thousands of new students a month, and from what I could see on the forums and the other students I spoke to 99.999% of them received the same excellent level of service as I did.

If you are thinking of Studying with Stonebridge I would strongly urge you to do so, as I have studied with a few other providers in my time (no names mentioned!) and have never received anywhere near the level of professionalism and quality course materials as I did with Stonebridge.

Thank you Stonebridge, you have opened a whole new set of doors for me.

I am currently studying a Teaching Assistant Level 3 course with Stonebridge (SAC diploma and Level 3 NCFE) and am over half way through after working at my own pace for a few months. I came across Stonebridge whilst researching Distance Learning courses after wanting to study something new. I am a young woman, who completed A-Levels and attended University. I found being a Uni student difficult as I struggle with exams and the high pressured learning environment, so I was desperate to find somewhere to learn at my own pace and with all the support necessary. I am the first person in my family to ever venture into the world of Distance Learning so we were all anxious to find how the system worked and the best company available to help and provide the service I needed.

I contacted Stonebridge and was immediately taken-aback by their swift, helpful responses and reassuring nature. I was nervous about changing my educational direction and uncertain about exactly what it was I wanted to study. I was worried about how successful I could be after leaving University without a degree, the staff at Stonebridge were reassuring and the qualifications I'll achieve after I finish my course are great achievements and nationally recognised certificates. The communication with Stonebridge has always been helpful, friendly, honest and provided me with so much support. Whether it be administrative queries like changing my address to subject specific questions. From the moment I struck email-conversation with the staff, I knew I had to study with them. Most people think Distance Learning is for the older generation, people who have careers and want to further their knowledge or change direction, but Stonebridge has proved that this perception is wrong and that everyone, regardless of age or situation, can attain anything they wish through a supportive, insightful and varied education. The online resources and ways to contact Stonebridge are signs they work for their students and aim to please.

The nature of their education means it is accessible to everyone and there's a method of communication for all. I receive my course workbooks quickly after completing assignments and sending them off via email, which is so quick and convenient, and of course, free! My completed assignments are always returned with great feedback and constructive remarks. I know that if I ever have an issue or question, my tutor is available to chat to and help me out. There's no pressure or stress, I can work at my own pace with the great resources and materials provided. The workbooks are up-to-date and interesting, well presented and concisely constructed. They provide all the necessary information as well as directing me to other places, i.e. the internet or local library for other useful materials and information. The workbooks are easy to understand and a perfect guideline for the assignments which are based on them. The content of my course supplies me with all the elements required in the Teaching Assistant area. The assignments are challenging but interesting and fun, without hurting my brain! I enjoy the assignments because I can work at my own speed and research my answers along with the workbooks.

I rate my course 5 out of 5 (and if I could rate it 6 out of 5, I would!) Every element is perfect, from registering and receiving the course, to working through it and the satisfaction of completing assignments. I can't wait to finish my course and be a proud "graduate" from Stonebridge Associated Colleges! I apologise if this review is too lengthy, but I struggle to fit in all the praise and thanks I have for Stonebridge, I wish I could afford to buy all the team a huge bouquet of flowers or box of chocolates... I suppose I'll have to save that gesture for when I've completed my course and have a super job, that I love and am proud to work at, partly thanks to the amazing Stonebridge team!

I am currently studying the Teaching Assistant Diploma course with you, only two assignments to go!  Have found my tutors Susan Richardson and Wayne (sorry not sure of his last name) to be most helpful whenever I have had a query and their responses are always prompt.  I have enjoyed the course as it has given me more confidence to get back into the world of study.

I am currently working through a teaching assistant level 3 course. It has been the best thing that I have signed up for, I work at my own pace I fit it around my children and other commitments. No travelling costs to and from college. No peer pressure. I have all the help I could ask for on hand. The course is interesting, doable, realistic and I actually understand what I learn. I would gladly do another course and definitely recommend it.

I was made perfectly clear what I was purchasing and how long it would take me to complete the course with no pressure.

I have completed and passed with distinction Teaching Assistant Level 3 and found the course fantastic.

The service I received from the college was second to none and I was very happy with the level of service I received from my tutor. My tutor marked my work especially quick, and when I had a query, that was answered very quick also.

My certificate came through the post quickly after I found out that I passed.

I was exceedingly impressed that they take the time to think about the small details, for instance the stamp said well done and congratulations you have passed on it. Nice touch!

The quality of the course was brilliant.

I am considering doing another soon in the future and I would highly recommend them to anyone considering doing a course.

I wanted to study with a high profile college. Having two small children the course also needed to fit around my home life with ease. I studied for a NCFE Level 3 Teaching Assistant course through Stonebridge, using a elearn programme of study. Working on line was great, and the service was fast and efficient. Stonebridge college ticked every box for me, it offers a friendly and efficient service and great choices of courses, that fit around peoples personal life. After two weeks on the course I recommend this programme of study to a friend, how could I not? I've thoroughly enjoyed the time I have spent studying for this course and I put a lot of it down to the excellent service that the college provided.
