Getting the job you want is not about following rules or giving the 'right' interview answer. It is about presenting yourself in the most authentic way that takes care of you and the interviewers at the same time. So many people throw their chances away: they do not take enough care and interview preparation time so that the whole process is enjoyable, stimulating and informative for both parties. This section aims to show you how.
This section will consider the importance of study skills and how we can identify and enhance our current skill set. We will then take a closer look at different learning styles and how knowledge of our own preferences in this area can make our learning more effective. Finally we will look at some basic time management techniques to enable you to plan and organise your studies and stay motivated.
Our friendly tutors are ready to help with any queries you may have. You need never feel stranded or cut off from help!
A collection of games to sharpen your concentration or just take time out from studying.
A collection of reference materials, links to e-journals, and reading lists compiled by our tutors

Student Reviews for Cognitive Behavioural Therapy Course
Stonebridge College, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy Level 5. My experience with Stonebridge College has been excellent. I have received great support and the lessons are clear and easily followed. The course has great depth and the recommended reading list has been comprehensive. Because my course has been teaching me Therapy the amount of case studies have been perfect,it gives a brilliant opportunity to think about what you are learning and explaining in your lesson. I have found no negatives, my personal tutor always grades my assignments within 3 days which means I can continue with the course with little break. I get great feedback from the tutor and this helps to motivate me in my next assignment. I would thoroughly recommend this college.

It took me a bit of time to actually pay out for the course on 'Cognitive Behavioural Therapy' as I was slightly nervous in the fact that I have not studied for many years now. Saying that, it's the best thing I could have done; the course is fascinating and, due to my age and experience in life, I have more confidence in researching and answering questions within the assignments. With Stonebridge's distance learning courses, one has the flexibility one requires in this busy life (having three young children!) so one does not feel pressured and can complete assignments when one has the time. I'm in my early 40s and looking forward to a new career thanks to Stonebridge Associated Colleges - Here's the the future!

Feeling rather dubious about paying out for such a course due to the fact I have not studied for a number of years now and whether I would be disciplined enough to take up home-study, I am so glad that I made the move! Always having been interested in the mind and psychology, actually learning about the great explorers behind psychoanalytical methodologies, the psychological illnesses which benefit greatly from having such therapy as CBT and other related therapies, has given me great enthusiasm and confidence in pursuing a career as a therapist in the future! Because of the flexibility of the course, there is no great pressure, which is important in this busy life - It is easy to fit into the daily routine without giving one stress!
The tutor's feedback is so motivating and assignments are quickly marked. There is always help at the end of the line or by e-mail from one's tutor and administration team. It is the perfect way of studying for me and I have no problem in disciplining myself into studying as I am so eager to 'read on' and finish the assignments.
One cannot lose out, only gain! Thanks Stonebridge!

I have been a counsellor over the last 10 years to:
Students and Staff in a Further Education College;
Children placed into Care homes by Social Services who have been victims of abuse and/or perpetrators of abuse;
an Associate counsellor with EAP organisations:
a Stress Management facilitator.
I have integrated person-centred and psychodynamic approaches into my practice and studying with Stonebridge Associated Colleges has enabled me to incorporate CBT into my counseling approach. I have thoroughly enjoyed the 24 modules which provide a firm foundation for CBT which as a student you can decide and take responsibility to further research. The marking gave me valued feedback in a very timely manner and allowed me to feel fully supported by the Stonebridge team especially my Tutor Susan Richardson and the internal Moderator Vanessa. I have spread the news about Stonebridge to my counslling colleagues and will continue to do so. Once again many thanks. Joy Hewitt MSc with Distinction, B.A (Honours), Graduate Dip. in Counselling, Diploma in Stress Managemnt Training with Distinction.

The course was well written and easily understood. The concepts and exercises we both interesting and soul searching. The material offered on the course was relevant and has been very useful for my business as a counsellor, it was also great value for the money. Both certificates are impressive and I am proud to have achieved them!
