With 1.1% of the population affected by Autism, it\u2019s time we all started to see the world a little differently.<\/strong><\/p>\n<h2>What is Autism?<\/h2>\n<p>Autism is a spectrum condition and can affect anyone, regardless of race, class or intellect.\u00a0 Imagine walking along the same road, the same bricks, but seeing a completely different view.<\/p>\n<p>In the UK alone, 700,000 people are on the autism spectrum and in simple words, they see, hear and feel the world in a different way.<\/p>\n<p>Autism affects social communication, social interaction and social imagination. This often makes everyday situations more of a challenge and while autistic people share similar difficulties, autism will affect each person differently.<\/p>\n<p>Autism is a condition not an illness, it can\u2019t be cured and therefore our understanding is key to impact and improve the lives of those affected.<\/p>\n<h2>How can you help?<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Raise awareness by talking more about autism and help others to learn and understand.<\/li>\n<li>Charities like <a href=\"http:\/\/www.autism.org.uk\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">The National Autistic Society<\/a> rely on donations to allow them to provide support and advice.<\/li>\n<li>Make a real difference to those living with autism in your local area and volunteer your time.<\/li>\n<li>From a run to a sky dive, have fun and challenge yourself as you raise funds for a worthy cause.<\/li>\n<li>Be understanding. It costs nothing to listen and can make all the difference to an autistic person.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><\/h2>\n<h2>I want to learn more about Autism.<\/h2>\n<p>If you have links to an autistic person, developing the knowledge to understand and make a positive influence in their lives is essential.
