We’ve been baking in the Stonebridge office for World Baking Day. Today people are making pledges to bake something nice for friends, family or colleagues.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We’d all like to think we could compete on the Great British Bakeoff, but we don’t all have amazing baking skills. We know that you don’t have the time, or energy, to spend all night baking, but you can still get involved. Everyone deserves a sweet treat now and again, so we’ve found some easy recipes that anyone can try<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Easy recipes<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
  1. Rice krispie cakes<\/strong> –<\/strong> you can follow Nigella’s recipe,<\/a> or do it your own way. All you need is your favourite cereal, butter, syrup and lots of chocolate.<\/li>
  2. Fairy cakes – <\/strong>give Mary Berry’s iced fairy cakes<\/a> a try. You can find the ingredients in your cupboard and get the kids involved to decorate them.<\/li>
  3. Cookies – <\/strong>Jamie Oliver’s chocolate chip cookie recipe <\/a>only takes 20 minutes and it’s simple, but tasty.<\/li>
  4. Lemon drizzle cake – <\/strong>we like this recipe from BBC Good Food<\/a>. It takes just an hour and makes 10 slices.<\/li>
  5. Pasties – <\/strong>impress your friends and relatives with this recipe for beef pasties, <\/a>or experiment with your own ingredients.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n
