Studying your GCSE

GCSE Economics will enable you to study how society deals with production, distribution and consumption of goods and services using finite resources.

Throughout the course, you’ll develop your understanding of how markets and economies work. You’ll develop your critical thinking and analytical skills and gain a solid grasp of economic issues too.

Each unit will cover an aspect of economics including how markets work, production, market mechanisms and prices. You’ll apply the knowledge on a national and global scale and cover the role of the government in economic growth.

Included in this course bundle are the two exams you need to gain your qualification. The exams will consist of multiple-choice, short and extended questions and calculations to solve.

Your exams will be at an exam centre near to you. We will aim to find you a place within 50 miles of your postcode, subject to centre capacity and exam availability.

In your exams, you’ll need to demonstrate your comprehensive understanding of economic concepts and ideas.

At the end of your course you will be able to build on the knowledge gained and progress to A level study or an Access to HE Diploma.
