About your Diploma

If you’re seeking employment within reptile care or would like to deepen your understanding for your own reptiles benefits a herpetology diploma will provide you with the knowledge you need.

Through the herpetology diploma you’ll examine different species unique anatomy, behaviours and requirements for survival. Some species of reptiles are among the oldest in existence so studying them in detail can expand your knowledge of evolutionary theory.

By studying this branch of zoology, you’ll learn about the important role they play within their ecosystem. Controlling pest populations, minimising the spread of disease, and contributing to medical advancements. You will also cover the risks they face and the need for increased conservation efforts.

Upon completion of this course you’ll be eligible for roles working with reptiles and amphibians or advocating on their behalf. Seeking employment in zoos or wildlife conservations. Or build on your understanding further by continuing your studies at university and beyond should you meet the requirements.
