Open Awards Online Functional Skills Maths Exam

Does the thought of an exam situation make you nervous? Is it difficult for you to get to an exam centre during office hours? The answer could be sitting your exam in the comfort of your own home. You can do this during the week, in the evening or even on a Saturday morning!  This means you can sit in your own home, without other learners or an invigilator present - we will be there with you using our remote classroom technology. We will provide you with our guide to remote exams when you book, so you can fully understand the process. We will have some time before the exam to make sure you know how to use the software, so that once the exam starts you'll feel relaxed and able to concentrate on showing off your skills.

Achieving the qualification in Functional Skills Mathematics proves that you can use everyday maths to solve problems in life and at work. Most colleges and universities accept Functional Skills Qualifications as a recognised GCSE equivalent.

Our Functional Skills exams are available at Level 1 and Level 2 and are delivered by learndirect and accredited by Open Awards. Open Awards is an Awarding Organisation approved by Ofqual to provide Functional Skills qualifications. Ofqual is the Office of Qualifications and Examinations Regulation – the regulatory body who regulate qualifications, examinations and assessments in England.
