To assess what you have learnt in the course, you will complete the NEBOSH International General Certificate Exam upon completion of the course modules.
This is divided into two assessments, which collectively evaluate your knowledge of the topics covered in the course.

(First assessment) Unit IG1: Management of Health and Safety (Modules 1-4)
- Open book examination
- 4 hours duration
Pass mark – 45 (Credit = 65-74, Distinction = 75+)
(Second assessment) Unit IG2: Risk Assessment (Modules 5-11)
- Practical assessment
- 3 hours duration
You must achieve a ‘pass’ in each unit to be awarded the qualification.
You will have six months to complete this qualification. This 6 month long period starts from the date you passed your first successful unit which will be known as the ‘declaration date’. Any unit that is more than six months old will not count towards the qualification, as such, you will need to retake this/these units if you still want to complete the qualification.
