About Your Course

It cannot be underestimated how important health and safety is in the workplace. Employees, visitors, clients, and customers need to feel safe when entering any type of business premises. By law, every commercial or private business in the UK will have to meet health and safety legislation.

Knowing the intricacies of health and safety policy is crucial to ensuring that all measures are in place for businesses across the UK. If you want to play a pivotal role in keeping workplaces safe, then enrol on the NEBOSH National General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety.

This accredited course covers a range of crucial knowledge regarding health and safety, ranging from fire safety, workplace issues, managing risk, and electricity. Also, you will be informed of the legal health and safety measures in the UK as well as how to identify common workplace hazards.

With this knowledge and nationally recognised qualification, you will be able to progress into essential health and safety roles. If you currently work in a managerial position or as a supervisor in a business or commercial premise, studying this course will give you the authority to implement safety procedures.

Getting Started

The National Examination Board in Occupational Safety and Health (NEBOSH) accredits your certificate, so you can rest assured that all modules laid out in the course adhere to UK legislation. As the course is being delivered through Stonebridge Associated Colleges, you can make your way through the course online.

Distance learning offers a level of flexibility that in-person classroom learning does not offer. So, if you work full-time, have young children, or any other commitments, you won’t have to neglect them. This is because you can tailor your study schedule around your daily routine.

It is important to note, though, that to achieve your certificate, you will have to complete two in-person exams, with one being practical.
