About the Qualitative Research Methodology Course

There are two main types of research – qualitative and quantitative. Whilst quantitative research focuses on collecting numerical figures, qualitative centres on motivation, reasoning and opinion. Qualitative research is important as it forms a basis for further quantitative studies. There are many ways of conducting qualitative research and this course will teach you all you need to know.

This distance learning course is spread out over a number of engaging modules. These units address a number of different approaches to qualitative research methods. Students will learn everything from how to collect and analyse qualitative data, to how to interpret this information and formulate reports. They will also learn how to write a research proposal for qualitative design.

This is a skills based course which can come in useful for people in many professions. Mostly, qualitative research is used in science based fields. This course may also be useful for people who are considering pursuing higher education courses.
