Upon successful completion of this course you will be awarded the Level 5 Diploma in Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL) (Qualification Number: 603/3955/X)

The qualification is based upon the courses developed, owned and operated by the Teach and Travel Group Ltd under its ‘i-to-i’ brand and is aimed at meeting the needs of Candidates and employers by underpinning the high-quality courses with a regulated qualification.

The qualification is regulated by the Office of Qualifications and Examinations Regulations (Ofqual) in England and is part of the Regulated Qualifications Framework (RQF).

Requirements for Entry

This qualification is suitable for learners aged 18 and over, who are working or preparing to work, as teachers of English as a Foreign Language.

The Level 5 Diploma qualification may be undertaken as initial training for those whose current or desired job role requires them to develop skills, understanding, and knowledge of Teaching English as a Foreign Language, or as refresher training for more experienced practitioners.

There are other no formal entry requirements for this course; however, due to the nature of the qualification content, those undertaking the qualification must have a proficient level of spoken and written English.

We recommend that Candidates hold a formal English language qualification of at least Level 2, e.g.

  • GCSE English Language (A*- C / Grade 4 or above), or equivalent
  • ESOL International (CEFR: C1 or C2)
