This summer has flown by! Between the Diamond Jubilee and the Olympics, I don’t know where the time has gone. Many of you may be feeling the same, wondering how we’ve already come to the end of August. And many of you may be wondering what happened to your studies.
It’s fairly typical that we all slack off a bit in the summer, especially toward the end of the season. The weather improves (unless you live in Cornwall), we go on holidays, we spend our free time playing, and we generally let our personal responsibilities slide a bit.
If this sounds like you, that’s okay. Taking a breather every now and again to enjoy life’s simple pleasures (such as summer activities) is a good thing. And now that we’re all chilled out and relaxed, we can reinvigorate and motivate for the autumn crack down.
It’s time to get busy. Remember those goals you set at the beginning of the year? Now is the time to refocus. Use these next couple weeks to examine those goals, assess your progress thus far, and gear up to tackle them head on in September.
Thinking of taking a course? Thinking of starting a business? Thinking of adding some skills to your portfolio? Now is the time. Sit down, sign up, and just do it. Let’s do this!
As always, if you’ve got questions about study tips, distance learning, job searching, or relevant news, let me know and I’ll try to post about it. Comment here or email me at josie@stonebridge.uk.com.
