Physics A Level (Full AS + A2)

Based on the AQA A-Level Physics specification, this course covers topics ranging from Quantum Phenomena to Astrophysics and will help you to prepare for the AQA A Level Physics examinations. to learn more about the theory and application of modern physics.

English Literature A Level (Full AS + A2)

This course aims to engage students in the study of literature, encouraging a multi-layered approach to the reading of literary texts. It focuses on the central place of narrative in the construction of texts, encouraging critical debate and fostering a recognition of the role of genre.

Sociology A Level (Full AS + A2)

This A-Level Sociology course enables students to discover more about society and how it functions. The course covers a wide range of topics, including: culture and identity; families and households; education; health; global development; mass media; and crime and deviance. It also includes information on sociological research methods.

Religious Studies A Level (Full AS + A2)

The course guides you through the AQA A-Level specification and includes topics such as: Introduction to Religious Studies; Studies in Religion; and Religion and Human Experience. Particular attention is given to the topics of World Religions: Buddhism and to the Christian New Testament.

Pure Maths A Level (Full AS + A2)

This A-Level Pure Mathematics course is designed to support you through your study of the AQA Pure Mathematics A-Level. It guides you through the study of pure mathematics, encouraging a sound understanding of algebra, trigonometry, calculus, logarithms, differentiation, mathematical reasoning and proofs.

Psychology A Level (Full AS + A2)

Psychology offers fascinating insights into the workings of the human mind. In this home study A-Level Psychology course you will study a broad range of relevant topics including memory, attachment, stress, sleep, celebrity and psychopathology, specialising in schizophrenia.

Mathematics and Statistics A Level (Full AS + A2)

This course provides the information you will need to prepare for the AQA A-Level in Maths with Statistics examinations. This A Level Maths and Statistics course focus on four core topics: algebra, geometry, trigonometry and calculus. These topics make up two-thirds of the A-Level qualification. The remaining third is focused on the study of statistics, including estimation, probability and distributions.

History A Level (Full AS + A2)

This History A Level home study course guides students, with the help of a tutor, through four areas of study: Britain 1603-1642; The Impact of Chairman Mao; Britain 1918-1964; and Totalitarian Ideology. The course aims to encourage an evaluative, interpretative and critical approach to past events, allowing students to develop their intellectual curiosity.

Government and Politics A Level (Full AS + A2)

The course covers relevant contemporary topics such as participation, political parties and pressure groups, as well as the governmental structures of both the UK and the USA. It encourages you to consider the connections and differences between political systems, aiming to develop a critical understanding of political processes and the ability to evaluate policial systems.

Geography A Level (Full AS + A2)

This course guides you through the AQA A-Level Geography specification. It focuses on issues and impacts, taking a modern approach to geography and allowing you to focus on contemporary issues within geographical study.

Environmental Studies A Level (Full AS + A2)

Based on the AQA Environmental Studies A-Level specification, this course covers key relevant topics such as: the living environment; the physical environment; energy resources and environmental pollution; and biological resources and sustainability.

English Language and Literature A Level (Full AS + A2)

This course covers such topics as: Integrated Analysis and Text Production; Analysing Speech and Its Representation; Comparative Analysis and Text Adaptation; and Comparative Analysis through Independent Study. The course also includes non-fiction writing and allows you to choose from a list of set texts in order to prepare coursework on a theme of your choice.

Economics A Level (Full AS + A2)

Closely based on AQA’s A-level Economics specification this course will provide all the information you need to prepare for the AQA Economics A-Level exams. This A Level Economics course includes the study of both micro and macroeconomics and covers such important topics as: Markets and Market Failure; The National Economy; Business Economics; and The National and International Economy.

Classical Civilisation A Level (Full AS + A2)

This course provides information on some of the fascinating features of classical civilisation and how they have contributed to the world we live in today. Through the study of classical sources, you will learn about the society and values of the classical societies of ancient Greece and Rome.

Citizenship Studies A Level (Full AS + A2)

Closely based on the AQA A-Level Citizenship specification, this A-Level Citizenship home study course explores and debates the issues relevant to local and global citizenship, helping students to take an informed and effective role in society. The course will give you a valuable overview of contemporary citizenship issues, allowing you to become an active and engaged global citizen.

Chemistry A Level (Full AS + A2)

The course will give you a valuable understanding of core chemistry topics including: Foundation Chemistry; Chemistry in Action; Kinetics, Equilibria and Organic Chemistry; and Energetics, Redox and Inorganic Chemistry. You will also gain the theoretical basis to carry out your practical skills assessments.

Business Studies A Level (Full AS + A2)

This course is ideal for those interested in learning more about business structures in the contemporary marketplace. This course provides an overview of modern business models, major topical issues and stakeholder perspectives, and through it you will learn how to evaluate both the internal structures and the dynamic external environment operating on a business.

Biology A Level (Full AS + A2)

This course is closely based on the AQA A-Level Biology specification and will give you the fundamental knowledge needed to prepare you for A-Level exams or to study at a higher level. This A Level Biology course covers the core aspects of biological study, including: Biology and Disease; The Variety of Living Organisms; Populations and Environment; and Control in Cells and in Organisms.

Accounting A Level (Full AS + A2)

This A-Level Accounting course covers the fundamental aspects of both financial and management accounting to gain an understanding of the purpose of accounting and major accounting methods.

The course has been designed to provide students with an understanding of: the importance of effective accounting information systems and an awareness of their limitations; the purposes, principles, concepts and techniques of accounting, and; the effects of economic, legal, ethical, social, environmental and technological influences on accounting decisions.
