As a web designer you’ll use design skills, and technical knowledge, to create unique websites. Who can take this course?
There are no entry requirements and you don’t need to know any web programming. All you need is an interest in IT and a desire to learn. There will be some basic assessments in maths, IT and English levels.

The Level 3 Certificate in Web Design and Development course is a fully recognised qualification. It takes around 40 hours to complete and will give you 25 credits, which you could use to go on to further study.

- In-house, or agency starting salaries are £20,000-£24,000 a year.
- With some experience you could earn £25,000-£35,000 a year.
- Lead web developers can earn £45,000 or more a year.
Is there Government funding available?

Hi, what are the software prerequisites? because i have a chromebook and dont have the faciliyt to download exact software for windows/mac. I use cloud9 online ide and pixlr photo edit. I have to work my way round everything but i can do it.
Please tell me how the study materials are used is my main question.(are they just ran thrugh a browser etc….) thanks.

Do i have to work at home or can i work in the college?

For this Web Design and Development Certificate (RQF) Level 3 course, the Course Description says it takes approximately 40 hours to complete and carries 25 credits. However the Syllabus says that there are 22 Units and the approximate amount of time required to complete the course is: 214.06 hrs.

Is the learning project based? Will I build a portfolio of work that I can use for potential employment?
Yes, as part of the course you would build a portfolio which could assist you in applications for work
Can you go on to study at university after you complete this course, as it is level 3 does that mean it is equivalent to a levels?

Hi, please can you confirm how long I would have to complete the course if I opt to take the loan?
Also I have a Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 SM-T230. Would that be adequate to use for the course? Or would you need something like a desktop with a proper keyboard for completing the assignments?
