Security Management Courses

Because I got my diploma is security management I was successful in getting the dream job before I could only have wished but due to me having a diploma I got it first time after passing my course.

I have done 2 diploma courses with Stonebridge namely Security Management and then Criminology which I found complementary to each other and relevant to my career. These courses were a return to study after a gap of over twenty years and both courses were interesting, straightforward, relevant and were achievable. I was impressed with the quick feedback on submitted work not just a pass / refer but with relevant added input from my tutor. I found the whole process fairly slick and ended up completing both courses well within the time frame allowed. I found the distance learning good in that I was able to decide my study time around my work (I work shifts) and family commitments.

In addition to enjoying the return to study at an adult level it started me on a personal development plan, gaining other qualifications leading me from a security officer  to becoming a competency based industrial trainer teaching security officers , door supervisors, cctv, first aid and fire awareness/ warden amongst other subjects. So I would not hesitate to recommend Stonebridge courses either as an end in themselves or as the start of progression into areas of your choice. The only downside (if you could call it that) Is when you finish a course you feel a bit of a gap in your day which led me to do another course and so on.

i successfully passed my security management course in 2010 however due to cash crisis it was better to stay at company i have been for last 3 years however i am hoping to go to actually use my diploma to get that ideal job, all i would say is that after passing my course i was offered lots of jobs, although its slowed down i do plan to do another course very soon
