About Your Course

Working with or caring for children can be a challenging experience. Their behaviour can often seem unpredictable to the point of counter intuitive. Some children can display unusually violent behaviour or low self-esteem, or both.

Understanding why children think, feel, and behave the way they do can go a long way to overcoming challenging behaviour. Or simply help you build a more trusting relationship.

This course will teach you the core theories behind child behaviour ranging from well-being and self-esteem to aggression and violence.

You will learn about emotional intelligence and its impact as well as how to help children respond to external events. You will also learn how to help children overcome attachment disorder and manage their emotions.

The course will also give you an insight into the causes of bullying and its effects. You will also study Conduct Disorder and Oppositional Defiant Disorder.

Upon completion of this course you will have a better understand of the kind of emotional and behaviour challenges children face.

This will allow you to better support them whether that’s at home or in an educational setting.
