The Level 1 Award in Principles of Working in Early Years Setting (RQF) is designed to give you a strong foundation for further training in early years. The course is made up of 4 units which outline the core responsibilities you’ll have as an early years worker. This course gives you the opportunity to explore your interest in early years work at an entry level.
The course teaches you the importance of play in children aged 0 – 5yrs 11mths. You’ll gain an understanding on how children develop their language, communication and physical skills through play. As well as learning about the best practises when it comes to the day-to-day running of an early years workplace. You’ll learn organisation and management skills specific to early years settings.

Materials for internal assessment must be submitted to TQUK for approval prior to use and must be mapped to the relevant unit, learning outcome and assessment criteria.
All learning outcomes and assessment criteria must be met to achieve a pass - there is no grading.
