JUNE OFFER:
Thursday 30th of June
Small Animal Hydrotherapy allows you to treat animals recovering from surgery, illness or suffering from conditions such as arthritis.
Hydrotherapy supports healing and provides pain relief for several conditions through physiotherapy in dedicated pools where the water pressure and temperature can be carefully monitored.
This course will give you the knowledge and skills you need to correctly identify physical issues in small animals and treat them accordingly through hydrotherapy.
The course covers animal behaviour, anatomy, biomechanics, how to correctly apply hydrotherapy techniques, best practises, legislation and other treatments.
You will also be taught how to correctly inform and educate pet-owners on the animal’s performance and management of aftercare.
This course will allow you to treat small animals with orthopaedic, medical and neurological conditions, improving their quality of life and reducing the need for expensive pharmaceutical treatments.
Most of the course is studied online, however, there is a 6-day intensive practical where you’ll learn from leading experts and gain first-hand experience working in clinics.
This allows you to put your newly gained knowledge to the test, allowing you to qualify with confidence.
Once you’re qualified, you will be in a position to pursue a career as an animal hydrotherapist and even set up your own business. The OCNWM Level 3 Diploma in Small Animal Hydrotherapy meets the training requirements for NARCH Registration.
This online course will provide you with the essential elements you will need to provide hydrotherapy to small animals safely.
From there you have the option of seeking employment or studying additional animal care and welfare courses. This can enhance your employment prospects or broaden your offering if you plan on starting your own business.
