This course will help you to understand the effects of dementia and how to effectively support someone with the condition through person-centred care.
You will also learn about the importance or early diagnosis and the different types of dementia and their symptoms.
This course will teach you the vital the role of communication, interaction and inclusion plays in the support and care of individuals with the condition. There is also a focus on equality, diversity and inclusion and the importance of treating dementia patients with dignity.
There are no entry requirements needed to enrol on this course.
The approximate amount of time required to complete the course is 150 hours.

To be awarded the Level 3 Certificate in the Principles of Dementia Care, learners are required to successfully complete 7 mandatory units:
