Hey gang. So, I have a confession to make. I am a complete nerd. I stayed in school for 23 years of my life, the latter 10 of those years being entirely by choice. And I’m thinking of studying again!
While I don’t love writing essays or taking exams, I do love learning new information, making fascinating discoveries, expanding my horizons and connecting the dots. Of course, working at Stonebridge I have access to the wealth of courses we offer. It all looks so interesting; I just don’t know where to begin!
Take, for example, the script writing course. How much fun would it be to try and write a movie script? Or the interior design course: I’ve wanted to redecorate my living room and try a new style for a while now. I’ve taken up running again, so maybe I should check out one of the nutrition courses to give myself the healthy advantage. And let’s face it, I could use a few tips from the debt management course.
Loads of you are learning and taking courses to build your skills or to gain particular qualifications for professional purposes. And well done for it! Your future self will thank you for taking the time to improve your career prospects. While you’re at it, though, why not squeeze in a course just for fun? Not only will it enhance your motivation to study and to keep charging through, it will build even more skills for you to add to your repertoire and your CV. And you never know, your future interviewer may have the same interest giving you a connection, and therefore an advantage, over all the other candidates.
Hmmm, maybe I should look at the garden design course.
