Studying your A Level

A Level Business Studies will challenge you to develop your understanding of various business concepts. You’ll learn how to apply the theory into real-life situations that you’ll utilise in many walks of life.

The course will focus on finance, human resources, marketing and other business operations which are all key aspects of the business world. You’ll also develop your knowledge on ethical and environmental issues, stakeholders, functional issues and practical limitations.

Your exams are included in this course bundle. Successful students must demonstrate in-depth understanding of key business theory and apply them into context. The exams will consist of:

  • Multiple choice
  • Data response stimuli questions
  • Short answer questions
  • Case study questions

Upon completion of the course, you’ll have gained a solid foundation to build on further, either through studying a Business related degree at university or by applying your knowledge to other Business related courses.

Getting Started

Stonebridge Associated Colleges is a leading provider of distance learning courses. Unlike most providers, all our courses are completely online.

This means as soon as you enrol the information is readily available for you to begin learning.

You won’t have to wait for the academic year to begin like physical colleges. Or attend any classes at all as there are none. You’re able to study whenever suits you best and work around your other commitments. The only specific deadline to work towards is your exam – exam sittings are held once per year in May or June.

By having the flexibility to study in a way that works for you you’re able to enjoy your learning experience.

But distance education doesn’t mean you’re going at it alone. At Stonebridge Associated Colleges we offer a dedicated tutor to guide you through your learning. They’ll be available to help whenever needed as well as provide constructive feedback on your assignments.

There are no entry requirements, but a GCSE or iGCSE in this subject would be beneficial. You must complete at least 50% of the course and pass the associated assignments before you are eligible to be entered for the exams.
