Studying your course

A/iA Level Chemistry gives you the opportunity to significantly build on your existing knowledge. This course will help you to gain a deeper, more comprehensive understanding of Chemistry and the interaction of different elements.

You will study atomic structure and bonding, the Periodic Table, alkanes, acids and alcohols, amongst others.

Additionally, you will also learn about physical chemistry, inorganic chemistry and organic chemistry.

The modules are designed to help you familiarise yourself with core concepts in Chemistry in an organised and structured way. This way you will be fully prepared for studying Chemistry at Level 4 or higher.

A/iA Level Chemistry is completely online, which means you can enrol and access your course materials at any point.

Each module has an assignment to complete, which you can then upload on to your virtual learning platform. Your tutor will mark your work and provide you with the necessary feedback to help you progress on your course.

Getting Started

This qualification has been designed to cover both the A Level AQA syllabus and the International A Level Pearson syllabus so you will complete the course with a rounded knowledge of the subject area, and should you decide to take the exams it gives you the choice of the different exam structures. This will allow you to go on to study chemistry or other science related degrees at university.

Chemistry can be challenging, so even though all your studies will be online, you should never feel alone studying with us. Your tutor is always available to answer your questions, address any challenges and offer you feedback whenever you need it.

The only specific deadline to work towards is your exam.

There are no entry requirements, but a GCSE or iGCSE in this subject would be beneficial.
