Studying your A Level

History A Level will build on the skills and knowledge you have learned so you will be able to analyse the accuracy of historic accounts. In so doing you will have the capacity to draw together multiple sources to create your own interpretation of events.

During your course you will study the industrialisation of Britain between 1783 and 1885. You will also study democracy and Nazism in German between the First and Second World Wars (1918-1945).

As you explore each of these topics you be able to identify the crucial flashpoints that led to some of the most significant events in modern history.

Upon completion of the course you will have acquired the knowledge needed to take your study of history to degree level and beyond.

But distance doesn’t mean alone. You will be supported throughout your studies by a dedicated and qualified tutor. They will offer advice and guidance throughout the course. They will also be marking your assignments with comprehensive feedback.

This enables you to make continual, positive progress throughout.
