A Level Physics deepens the knowledge you’ve gained in your GCSE. You’ll cover core principles in more depth than ever before.
During the course, you’ll look at key components of physics such as radiation, nuclear physics, astrophysics and more.
As well as cover units in waves, mass, black holes and the constituent of atoms.
You’ll be able to test your understanding of these components with the practical elements provided in the course. The practical elements include:
This course is designed in line with the AQA specification to prepare you for your A Level exams. Your exams will include multiple-choice, short and long answer questions.
You’ll be expected to demonstrate your knowledge of key scientific theory and apply them accurately to the context provided.
Note that you will have to book your practical exams in advance of your written exams, so take that into account when planning your studies.
Upon completion of the course, you will have the knowledge required to study Physics at a higher level.
Studying an A Level through an online learning provider allows you to study from the comfort of your own home. You won’t have to worry about getting to class or covering shifts as it doesn’t impact your existing commitments. And there are no classes to attend.
Note that while your course material can be studied online, your practical lessons will be carried out in a classroom setting so will need to be booked in advance.
Therefore you’re able to structure your learning in a way that suits you. You’re in complete control of when you learn and how you learn as well as how fast (or slow) you learn. The only specific deadline to work towards is your exam – exam sittings are held once per year in May or June.
However, just because it’s a more independent learning style doesn’t mean you’re alone. At Stonebridge Associated Colleges we have tutors to guide you through your learning. They will be on hand 24/7 to help when needed and give constructive feedback on your assignments.
Ultimately this allows you to study and complete your A Level in Physics in a manner that doesn’t impact your lifestyle or commitments so your approach to learning is never hindered.
*You will have access to the course for 12 months only. You can purchase course extensions.
As you progress through your course, you will study the following modules:
At the end of each unit there is an assignment to complete. Once this has been completed and submitted to your tutor he or she will respond with your grade as well as detailed feedback. Following successful completion of each unit you’ll be exam ready!
All instalment plans must be paid and up to date before an exam can be booked. In addition, exams cannot be booked for dates before the final payment is successfully made. For example, if two monthly payments are due in the future, an exam can be booked, but the exam date will be after the final payment is received.
Tutors and Exams provides examination and assessment facilities primarily aimed at private and home educated candidates.
Tutors and Exams have examination centres located around the country: Bolton, Coventry, Doncaster, St Neots Cambridgeshire, High Wycombe, Taunton, Wimbledon and Belfast. All are approved for examination delivery by the Joint Council for Qualifications (JCQ).
In addition to their examination centres they also have dedicated science laboratories based in Birmingham, Bolton and Sheffield with the ability to deliver A Level science practicals all year round, and access to another two science laboratories located in London.
